Founded in 1960, the company today has more than 30 metal experts working in a 35,000 square foot workshop equipped with state-of-the-art and traditional digital equipment. Metal BF transforms steel, stainless steel, aluminum and copper.

JOB TITLE :

We are looking for a Draftsman-Programmer to join our team! Under the supervision of the General Manager, the incumbent's responsibilities include, among other things, programming, drawing, and quickly correcting drawings and specifications to ensure better production and/or product quality. Their main responsibilities include:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

› Use various measuring tools to obtain the dimensions of the parts to be produced;
› Draw and dimension drawings as needed from 3D files provided by customers;
› Create the required technical drawings according to established standards;
› Carry out various product modifications;
› Program and convert drawing information into machine language and the various parts sent by designers using software;
› Ensure the correct order of programs according to production standards;
› Provide technical assistance to operators in the factory with cutting for punching, laser, and bending machines;
› Perform all other related tasks, inspecting parts on the floor

REQUIRED SKILLS:

› DEC in mechanical engineering, DEP in industrial design, or other equivalent training;
› Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience;
› Experience in sheet metal processing;
› Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks);
› Proficiency in programming software: Metallix, DrAbe, VPSS3I;
› Very good knowledge of different sheet metals;
› Knowledge of the concept of sheet metal stretching;
› Strong communication skills;
› Ability to stay focused;
› Dexterity;
› Aptitude for spatial perception (3D);
› Attention to detail;
› Ability to work in a team.
